SERVICE ATTENDANT LEADER
Pay Grade A51
Under close supervision, performs unskilled servicing and cleaning of revenue and non-revenue equipment, including automobiles, buses and rail cars. |
Differs from Mechanic in that Service Attendant performs unskilled servicing and fueling of revenue and non-revenue equipment while Mechanic performs skilled maintenance and repair of revenue and non-revenue equipment. Differs from Maintenance Specialist in that Service Attendant cleans revenue rail vehicles while Maintenance Specialist maintains and repairs rail vehicles. Incumbents maybe assigned at either the BUS or RAIL Operations Department. There is a Service Attendant Leader who in addition to the regular Service Attendant duties, is responsible for assigning duties and directing employees in the performance of their work under the supervision of his/her immediate supervisor with whom he/she shall consult in all matters affecting such work. A Leader receives additional pay for each hour worked as stipulated by the appropriate collective bargaining agreement. |
