Examples of Duties
- Operates personal computer to input, edit, and complete pre-press preparation of schedules materials and other Metro documents

Selects appropriate type faces, sizes, and heading for the copy to be set

Computes scale reductions and enlargements for artwork
-
Lays out and pastes up artwork for printing
-
Abstracts and details scheduling data to format schedule materials
-
Develops computer graphic displays for artwork reproduction
-
Answers inquires on all phases of layout work
-
Maintains computerized and manual files of schedules, Metro forms, and artwork
-
Proofreads work to ensure format integrity
-
Contributes to ensuring that the EEO policies and programs of Metro are carried out

Essential Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Functions and operations of PC based word processing and desktop publishing software

Microsoft Office suite

Adobe Creative Suite 5
- 5 (Indesign and Illustrator)

Proper use, care, and storage of PC

Ability to:
- Perform detailed layout and paste up work

File materials alphabetically and numerically

Proofread and correct text for formatting errors

Minimum Qualifications
Potential candidates interested in the SCHEDULING DOCUMENTS AND GRAPHIC TECHNICIAN position MUST meet
the following requirements:
- 2 years experience performing responsible clerical duties in the production of computerized data, including 1 year utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite 5
- 5 (Indesign & Illustrator)

Completion of training program for the specified computer applications may be substituted for the years experience
