Examples of Duties
- Establishes and maintains files and records systems

Checks and compiles information

Disposes of and shreds obsolete records with supervisor's approval

Types, logs, file labels, routine memos, letters, and other materials using a typewriter and/or a personal computer

May operate a variety of office equipment including typewriters, shredders, microfilm cameras, reader-printers and splicers, electronic files, binding machines, calculators, computer terminals, and other equipment

Contributes to ensuring that the EEO policies and programs of Metro are carried out

Essential Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Recordkeeping

General office practices and procedures

Ability to:
- Input data at 15 net words per minute

Establish and maintain recordkeeping systems

Maintain confidentiality of materials and files

File materials alphabetically, numerically, and chronologically

Follow oral and written instructions

Lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds

Read, write, speak, and understand English

Minimum Qualifications
Potential candidates interested in the RECORDS CLERK position MUST meet
the following requirements:
- 6 months' experience performing clerical duties
