Under moderate supervision, provides technical support in preparation, compilation, and reporting of computerized planning data. |

Examples of Duties
- Compiles, enters, and edits data into computer

Develops and updates departmental reports and data bases

Modifies report formats

Extracts, reviews, and distributes departmental reports

Serves as departmental liaison in data collection matters and provides technical data processing support to scheduling and Operations Department

Develops and maintains user and operational manuals

Contributes to ensuring that the EEO policies and programs of Metro are carried out

Essential Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Applicable computer hardware and software packages and their capabilities

Data processing terminology

Ability to:
- Design report formats

Compile, review, and analyze data

Use computer keyboard and terminal for entering, extracting, and utilizing data

Print finished reports

Update data files

Perform simple mathematical calculations

Interact professionally with various levels of Metro employees and outside representatives

Minimum Qualifications
Potential candidates interested in the DATA TECHNICIAN - TCU position MUST meet
the following requirements:
- 2 years of experience performing responsible clerical duties in the computerized processing of data, including at least 1 years experience utilizing the specified hardware and software

Completion of a training program for the specified equipment may be substituted for the years experience in utilizing it
